Reprimanded

We normally get communion invitations on the third or last week of November. Locally, First Communions are celebrated on the first week of December. I am not sure if this is the practice elsewhere but here, that’s how we do things.
I remember the first time I tasted the wine. I showed my tongue to an older relative and I got reprimanded for it. I can never forget the look my older relative gave me. It was sacrilegious to be showing the host to others when it’s already inside your mouth. Well, I learned my lesson the hard way, ain’t it?
So whenever I see invitations for holy communions, I remember that day I got the look and was reprimanded.
