Comments offGiven a chance, our family prefers to live a bit away from our relatives. There are advantages and disadvantages of living near the relatives. And believe me, the latter far outweighs the former!
We do appreciate our relatives. On those times we needed their help, they did come to our rescue. They are there during emergencies because they live near us. We appreciate that and we show it.
But because we live near the relatives, every little thing turns into an issue, usually blown out of proportion. They come to me, tried to borrow money, I tell them I don’t have some right now, they go away. Do you know after a day or two what news arrives at our doorstep? Why am I experiencing shortage of funds when my sisters and I are all earning. Ha! Imagine that!
I’ve heard this countless of times. And then some. Not only on money matters. There are other issues that come up when they see everything you do. Better live far from them and see them from time to time than see them almost every day and you hear every little issue concerning you.
